At Hodges University, you can get your Associates degree in Paralegal Studies in less than two years.
After graduating with your Associates in Legal Studies degree, you'll be prepared to sit for the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam or the Certified Legal Assistant/Certified Paralegal Exam.
In the state of Florida, most students choose to take the Certified Legal Assistant/Certified Paralegal Exam (CLA/CP). This exam is offered by the National Association of Legal Assistants .
Once you pass this exam, you're a certified paralegal. Now you're qualified to be a legal assistant.
