In just four semesters, you’ll master the in-demand skills needed to be a Dental Hygienist.
Your journey to earn your Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene starts with taking classes in our state of the art dental lab. You will learn from dentists and dental hygienists that want to share their experience and knowledge with you.
From there, you’ll have the chance to treat patients in our new, modern dental clinic in Fort Myers, Florida.

At Hodges University, you can graduate with your Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene in under four years. This unlike all other dental hygiene schools in Florida. Our program at Hodges is the first and only accelerated Bachelor's degree dental hygienist program in the state of Florida.
Students must first complete several prerequisite courses before applying to the limited-enrollment Dental Hygiene Program. These courses may be completed individually or as part of an AA in Health Sciences. Please note, having completed the AA in Health Sciences program at Hodges University makes you an excellent candidate for the Dental Hygiene Program, but it's not a guaranteed acceptance.

Applicants will be told of their status approximately three weeks after the interview, dexterity testing, and essay have been completed. If accepted, prospective students will be conditionally admitted pending their Level II Criminal Background Check with finger printing, a physical examination, immunization record documentation, drug screening, and final grades.
Tuition for this program includes instruments, text books, and two sets of scrubs. Additional student expenses include dental loops with a light, blood pressure cuffs with stethoscope, and licensing exam fees.
